Teddy Bear and Friend, matching hats

I have been trying to use up some of my stash and postpone trips to the yarn stores.
There is an adorable roll brim hat pattern at Suzies Stuff.  It is a wonderful use of sash and fun to make.
A little modification and my teddy bear from Build A Bear Workshop has one too.

And [...]

Betty Boop?

I was challenged recently to make a teddy bear resemble the comic character of Betty Boop.
I crocheted her hair first using a loop stitch. That didn’t work so I tried freeforming a flat piece, and then made long needlepoint type stitches. I added a few loops for spit curls.
Her dress is knitted and the [...]

Teddy Bear pin

I have a teddy bear addiction that surpasses my knit/crochet addiction. Oh, don’t worry, I don’t suffer. I enjoy every minute of it.
Unfortunately this house is not big enough to support both habits. When hubby and I moved to this smaller home 3 years I brought along many boxes of teddy bears. Unfortunately many are [...]

SpiderBear

At my local JoAnn’s this week we found the “Make Your Own Bear Kit” , regularly priced at $17.99 on clearance for $4.97.  Clearance and I are good buddies and I could not resist this offer.  Happily neither could my grandson.
He carried the box through the store and read me the picture instructions (he not [...]

Festive Knits

Fuzzy Mitten’s has a delightful pattern book available for purchase called “Fuzzy Mitten’s Festive Knits”.
I clicked on “preview” and the first pattern is an adorable teddy bear!  I love it.  Living on unemployment is creating havoc in my pattern and yarn stash. As soon as that clears up I think I will have to get [...]

Not Dora the Explorer

Several months ago I posted about my Attention Deficit Knitting problem.  One of the projects at the time was a “Dora the Explorer” doll.  The pattern for this was available as a KAL on a yahoo group. It was translated from French to English and I had difficulty understanding some of the directions. However, I [...]

A Emerald in Mohair

I just returned from a quick tour of San Francisco where hubby bear is working for a few weeks. Once the plane landed he picked me up and the tour didn’t stop until 4 days later when he returned me to airport.  We saw some beautiful landscape and architecture which I hope to post soon.
My [...]
