A Knitting Basket Ornament

I recently hosted a party for my Knitting Bible Study (the study will be made available for KnitBasketOrnament download after the first of the year).  As a guest gift and table decoration, each place setting had knitting basket ornament. It was fun and easy to make and the ladies were excited to receive it.

A simple small basket, scraps of yarns rolled in tiny balls, bamboo skewers but down to size I cast on 3 stitches and knitted a couple of rows and left the right needle pushing through to a knit stitch then glued the sticks over the yarn and on to the basket edge.

With curling ribbon a business card printed from my computer with "I knew you before you were born. I knit you together in your mother’s womb.  Jer 1:5 ; Psalm 139:13.  If you like the background that was a free template from microsoft.   An ornament hook at the top finished it off.
