Knit-Out 2008: Pictures Part 2
There is so much to see you can’t get it all in one pass by. Lines were long as everyone wanted to see the newest pattern releases and to get new project ideas. OK, they also wanted the give aways. We rested awhile then moved on.
Purl curled up against a sweater at
Interweave Press . I get their weekly newsletter. It is filled with fun ideas.
A stop at Three Kittens was fun as Purl sat among the fish, the lamb and lots of hats. Patterns for these fun projects are available on their website.
Lots of beautiful yarns were on display at the Patons table. Purl checked out the colors to help pick out the appropriate one for her next knitted friend.
Purl was excited to jump into the pocket of this sweater at the Bernat Yarn table.
There was a soft sweater displayed by Sugar’nCream yarns.
A basket of yarn at Lion Brand Yarn was a comfortable place for Purl to take a nap.
We are almost done!! Crochet Today was pleased to let Purl check out the crocheted afghan and sweater. They were also pleased to announce that Knit and Crochet Today hosted by by Brett Bara is now being broadcast on PBS channels nationwide. Check your local listings.
Judy Johnson is all smiles when she talks about the Mother Bear Project. Teddy Bears are knit or crochet and sent to children all over the world. To date, 25,600 bears have been sent to South Africa, Zambia, Swaziland, Lesotho, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Burundi, Malawi, Botswana, Rwanda, Uganda, Namibia, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo and other countries
WHEW!!! Two days and Purl is tired. Time to rest. After all we still teach how to knit and how to crochet and offer other demonstrations.
