Simple Knit Shawl

I have been using a beautiful red color of the Red Heart Light and Lofty yarn.  I like the soft touch of the finished product it makes. It is hard to remove stitches and doesn’t show a knitted pattern well, so I decided to use some of the yarn in a simple shawl.  It is very soft, and heavy so it will definitely be warm to use. I am getting started on Christmas gifts so here it is. This one is so simple. All you need to know is Cast On, Bind Off and Knit.

Materials:

Size 13 needles

3 large skeins of Red Heart Light and Lofty yarn

Instructions:

Cast on 45 stitches

K across

Continue in garter stitch until 60″ or desired length

BO

Weave in yarn ends

NOTE: wrap around your shoulders before binding off to be sure it is the length you desire. For a narrower shawl  cast on less stitches.
