Gift Ideas for your Favorite Knitter

I walked through Walmart last week where Christmas decorations are already set up and in full sale mode. I found the same at Home Depot and Hobby Lobby too. This is mid-October.

As a crafter I need to start early.  I have a number of projects on the needle (see my previous post, Attention Deficit Knitter) but I have to sit down now and make a list of gift ideas so I can complete these and get them wrapped.

If you are not a knitter, but are married to or best friends with a knitter, perhaps you need some ideas.  So, getting into the gift giving spirit, here is a short list of ideas to help you out.

At the top of my list is a set of Bamboo needles.  I bought my first pair a couple of years ago while we were on vacation. While my husband drove I wanted to knit and needed some supplies. Ever since my then my needle preference is definitely bamboo. They don’t slip with the yarn as easily as the metal ones do and they feel very comfortable in the hands.

Patterns and ideas are always needed by a knitter. **here’s an idea, if you give your knitter a pattern book, mark something you really like. Perhaps you will receive a reciprocal gift**

I love bamboo needles! I couldn’t relax and knit well with metal ones because it seemed I was always struggling to keep from accidentally losing stitches.
