Scarves for Special Olympics
I was looking through the September/October 2008 “Crochet Today” and came across this article (also online) about the Special Olympics World Winter Games Scarf Project. Last year over 1,000 handmade scarves were received. This year the goal is 5,000.
“No specific pattern, skill or style is required” according to the article. For more details check out the article, gather the materials and start knitting. The finished scarves must arrive at the Boise Idaho office by January 15, 2009.
Come on! You like to knit, you make scarves with your eyes closed. It’s time to share.
